Wooden-wick candles, natural scents & small-batch craft
The workshop is a small team of makers, perfumers and woodworkers who focus on the intersections between scent design and material behaviour. Our core practice is built around documenting process: every wax mix, wick cut, holder finish and scent blend is recorded so replications yield consistent results. This attention to process allows us to refine formulation for cleaner combustion, consistent melt-pool radius and predictable fragrance throw across different room volumes.
We test wooden wick species for smolder behaviour and split patterns, and we trial soy blends with varying hardeners and vegetable additives to balance melt rate with scent diffusion. Holders are measured for thermal isolation and ergonomics so a lit candle remains safe to handle when cooled. For each new fragrance we prepare a controlled sampling cycle: small proof-batches, three-stage olfactory reviews, and burn trials so the final product meets our performance and olfactory goals.
Sustainability is practical: we recover trimming offcuts into small craft components, source lids and boxes from local suppliers using recycled materials, and encourage customers to reuse wooden holders or return them for refurbishment. Our packaging is designed to protect fragile items while remaining mostly recyclable or compostable.
